Directional Drilling for Pipelines
Before any pipeline rehabilitation can take place, the condition must first be assessed. Using a camera attachment with our directional drilling equipment, we can assess the condition of the pipeline in real time.
Using the method of sliplining, we are able to pull a new HDPE pipe into the existing pipe. The pipe is then butt-welded into continuous lengths before it is inserted into the launch pit, thus eliminating the need for excavation. We can then improve structural stability by grouting the pipe in place, thus increasing the HDPE pipe pressure rating.
